DC Day of Empathy

The fifthe annual DC Day of Empathy on Wednesday March 3, 2021 was amazing thanks to everyone that joined and supported me and our friends/family that are or have been incarcerated.

The Empathy Network (advocates and organizers across our nation) continue to explore the role of empathy in changing existing policies and practices in our criminal legal system. On this #DayofEmpathy virtual event, we had full participation in partnership with Dream Corps (event organizer, and their affiliated organization).

Every year I am even more grateful for your support and allegiance. A special thank you to our panelist DC Council Member Robert White, Jr., Eric Weaver (NAARC), Keisha Robinson (DC Re-Entry), Public Defender Service for DC and DC Justice Lab.

Please continue to support the movement and stay connected.

Celebration of DC Natives Day

The DC Natives Day is a celebration of the contributions and culture of Native Washingtonians. Council member Kenyan R. McDuffie (D-Ward 5) introduced a resolution to affirm the day, and it was approved on April 2. Organizers Angel Gregorio (Spice Suite, Owner) and Tony Lewis, Jr. (Author, Community Leader) , decided to maintain that momentum this year by creating a celebration on May 20.

The event is FREE.
